Occasionally Cyclone Drilling has Toolpusher Positions come open that we will sometimes fill from the outside.  However, this position is considered a Rig Manager which requires many years of experience in the oilfield and most candidates who are selected have previously worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as a Toolpusher.


Qualifications

Required:
  • 5+ years experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to hire and manage all positions on a large drilling rig
  • Previously worked all positions on a rig: Floors, Motors, Derricks, Driller
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
Preferred:
 
  • 5+ years experience as a Toolpusher of large oil or gas drilling rig
  • Safeland USA training
  • Strong work history of maintaining job with the same employer

Requirements:
 
  1. Administrative – The Toolpusher is responsible for overseeing all reports, tour sheets, invoices, employee forms, etc., which originate on the rig. The Toolpusher is responsible for accuracy, coding, approval, and mailing paperwork, on a timely basis, to the Gillette office. 
    Daily:
       1) Morning report to Gillette office
       2) Daily drilling report form, checked and signed as approved
       3) Purchase orders, coded, and signed as approved
       4) Accident reports completed and signed
       5) Termination notices
       6) Complete all new hire paperwork, complete all drug testing requirements

    Monthly:
       1) Running and Repair expenses (R&R’s)
       2) Maintenance and Inventory reports
 
    End of Well
       1) Records kept at well
       2) Public relations
       3) All dealings or relations with the public or the Operator’s personnel will be as a representative of Cyclone.  
 
Requirements Include:
  1. Must have sufficient knowledge of all rig positions and operations
  2. Must be in good health and in relatively good physical conditions. 
  3. Must be mentally alert at all times
  4. Must be able to supervise up to 12 crew members
 
Physical Requirements Include:
  1. Must be able to tolerate at least 10-12 hours of standing and 4 hours walking throughout the workday
  2. Must be able to lift/carry between 10 to 20 pounds frequently throughout the workday with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
  3. Must be able to knee, reach and work at heights rarely during the day as well as occasional bending
  4. Must be able to grasp occasionally throughout the day and frequently push and pull objects through the workday
